During the extremely dark winter months of December 2021 and January 2022, Amsterdam will become a beautiful open-air light art museum for the 10th time the Amsterdam Light Festival. For this anniversary, the festival has chosen the theme ‘Celebrate Light’. With this year’s theme, the festival aims to both honor the light art of recent years and shed light on social issues to remind guests that not everyone is able to participate in the festivities.
Over the past ten years, modern artists from around the world have created spectacular light artworks that have been seen all over the city center during the previous editions of the festival. This year the artworks consist of the most appealing, inspiring and favorite light artworks from the past nine editions and new artworks.
